The numbers I encourage all my clients to know....
Nov 12, 2025In business, KPIs are key otherwise you cannot rate your company progress and target poor performance areas.
In study, midterm tests tell you how you are doing, If you wait until the final exam, you may miss the opportunity to fill in knowledge gaps and address weaknesses.
You get your car MOT'd and serviced annually to check the engine is running as it should.
Your health is no different. Data enables us to create a truly personalised protocol and track your progress to see the results.
I encourage all my clients to know their health KPIs...
These include:
Blood pressure
HBA1C
Cholesterol
Triglycerides
Vitamin D
This list is not exhaustive and the tests we run depend on the outcome of a detailed health assessment in our initial consultation.
Blood pressure is a good indicator of overall cardiovascular health. You can usually check this for free at your GP surgery or pharmacy.
HBA1C is a marker for your blood sugar regulation, giving an average reading for the last three months and tells us if you are managing blood glucose or are slipping into insulin resistance and pre-diabetes. We can immediately address this with diet changes to avoid medication.
Cholesterol and triglycerides are also used as markers for general cardiovascular health, inflammation and liver function. Again this can be addressed through diet when detected early.
Vitamin D is such a crucial nutrient and required for so many functions that I like to test this too, especially as most of us are deficient to some degree or another during the winter months.
As part of my practice, I regularly refer clients for functional blood tests to monitor these key markers, and more, including B12, folate, iron etc.
We then work together over several weeks or months to achieve the desired outcome and create sustainable health practices that compound and elevate their wellbeing for the future they deserve.
For more guidance on functional testing and interpretation, and to discuss your health goals, get in touch.
